Pasco County Parks put up a photo from Jumping Gully Preserve, which is worth knowing about if you have never heard of it: 598 acres north of State Road 52 that the county manages for gopher tortoises. It is not a drop-in park, though. Visits are by appointment.

Freedom Week starts today in Pasco schools and runs through Friday, with a Declaration of Independence reading every morning.
