Good morning, Hudson. It's 91 today, mostly sunny before the afternoon storms roll in, and the rest of the week looks about the same.

Pasco County Schools introduced Laurayne Dola this week, the longest-serving teacher in the district and, in the district's words, the heart of Hudson High School. Also worth a minute: Aarti Varma, an eighth grader at Thomas E. Weightman Middle School, is one of 300 students nationwide named a Junior Innovator in this year's Thermo Fisher challenge, for a project on making desalination more efficient. And Shady Hills Elementary has its color run underway.

Pasco Parks is collecting new shoes and socks for kids through October 16 if you have something to drop off. Tonight, Yummy Thai is at Craft Life Brewing from 5 to 9, Ezee Dogs is at the West Pasco Government Center over lunch, and Circle S BBQ has bike night at 6:30. Friday brings Mrs. Red and Borderline to Circle S, with the Pasco Young Marines posting colors before the show.
