Good morning, Hudson. It's 92 today with scattered storms building this afternoon, and Wednesday looks like the one clear day of the week before the rain chances climb again.

If you see or smell smoke around midday, it is almost certainly planned. The water management district has a 155-acre prescribed burn scheduled at Starkey Wilderness Preserve from 10:30 this morning, conditions permitting. Elsewhere in the county, Pasco Schools is interviewing bus drivers this afternoon in Land O' Lakes, the county is giving away 1,500 free trees on October 10, and Keep Pasco Beautiful runs its countywide cleanup Saturday morning.

This week: the Agape food pantry at First Baptist Church of Hudson is open Wednesday from 9 to 1, trivia is at The Stadium tonight at 7, and Bayport Inn has all-you-can-eat shrimp through Thursday. The Humane Society is also short on dry dog food if you happen to be passing a store.
