Good morning, Hudson. It is National Custodial Worker's Recognition Day, which is a fair moment to think about the people who quietly keep the schools and the offices running. Today looks like 88 with showers and storms around, and the weekend holds at 88 before easing to 86 Monday and 83 Tuesday. Saturday carries the highest rain chance of the five.

The county has extended its free tree lottery to Monday night, and one of the three pickup points is Crews Lake Wilderness Park in Shady Hills. Fire Rescue has given a Valor Award to two firefighters, the Water Management District has burns planned at four Pasco sites between now and December, and October is Pedestrian Safety Month.

Tonight brings Jeep & Truck Night at Circle S and the Luau Fundraiser Dinner at Lakewood Family Church, and the weekend fills in behind them: the art walk at Hernando Beach, a free gardening talk in Spring Hill, and two markets on Sunday. Thank a custodian.
