Good morning, Hudson. It is National Play Outside Day, and the sky is going to make you work for it: 87 today, with a scattered-storm window that settles in around 2 PM and runs into the night. Sunday nudges up to 88, then Monday eases to 85 with numerous storms and a 77 percent rain chance. Go early.

Pasco County Parks has posted a run of mental health and wellbeing activities for this weekend and next week, through its Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation Program, and every county library branch will be closed Monday, October 12 for Staff Development Day. Two good ones from the schools as well: Hudson High congratulated its Teacher of the Year and SRP of the Year nominees, and the district thanked its custodians for National Custodian Day.

Out there today: a free garden talk on broccoli, kale and cauliflower at 10, the Hernando Beach art walk until 2 with 48 artists registered and a new curated market beside them, and a free wellness hour on Cavalaire Square at 11. The Kielbasa Bus pulls into Weeki Pub at 3, and Electric Soul Therapy starts at 6 at Sam’s Hudson Beach Bar. Go play outside before the sky does.
