Good morning, Hudson. It's 91 today, sunny early with storms building in the afternoon, and that's roughly the pattern into next week.

Two things from the county worth acting on. Hurricane season is here, and Pasco's suggestion is a small one that pays off later: take clear photos of your important documents and belongings now. And if you thought you had missed the window for the county's Better Future assistance program, you may still qualify. September is also National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and both the Sheriff's Office and Bayonet Point are pointing people toward help this month. The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline takes calls and texts at any hour.

Then the good stuff. Pasco Parks has another tree giveaway coming October 10, the Humane Society has dogs waiting to meet people, and Shady Hills Elementary is running its color run. Ezee Dogs is at the West Pasco Government Center over lunch today and Yummy Thai is at Gulf Harbor from 4. Saturday is the busy one: the Diva Angels pasta benefit for veterans and rescue dogs at the Chester McKay VFW, Rooster playing Alice in Chains at Sims Park, and Jorge Valentine at Circle S.
